(mise-en-scene) Locations

LOCATION 1

            Location 1 - Will be in the school theatre, were we will have to arrange a set design in order to create a living room with furniture and other props. We chose to set the scene in the theater rather then an real living room because we wanted a small impact, not so spacious living room to focus more on the artist. Also it will be more effective in terms of lighting, as we could lights and equipment that we might not be able to use in a real living room. However the main reason is that we wanted a vintage old living room ,therefore it would be easier to create one using old furniture and give it an autumn warm feel.  the purpose of the choice of theme was for it to compliment the song which is  about relationship break up and how their 'falling to pieces', therefore the old living room applies that they are looking back at old memories and that time and made it harder.

These are the different props and furniture iv found ,that i might use in my set design, in location one

An old settee, 19th century style along with old fashioned cushions -the actor (Robin) might be sitting on it while he performs.

Draft  Set Design 

We have rearranged a draft of how we want the set deign to look like and how long it will take to put it together and remove it agin after wards. however we did not like the black curtains at the back and the black floor as it made it more stage like rather then a living room.

 

LOCATION 2
   Around Coventry City centre- the urban industrial side of it.
These are just to give us an idea before hand, so we know what to look for and where to film.
