Before we started we checked out some yotube tutorials.

The black and white effect- signifies the idea of memory and history, this goes with the lyrics.

Shooting Priya's Scene

DAY 3

we wanted to get a feel of location and filming outside a set, with natural light, and while we were at it we would film some clips for Priyas part. Location: local park, as we liked the autumn atmosphere the park had, with the brown leaves. The main colour would be navy blues brown and grey, it would work well with Robbins scene.

DAY 4

Me and my group and priya went out to film here scene in different locations around the city centre. all these scene are of here walking while location and times change gradually because we stayed till dark, we decided not to give her a destination. I filmed most scenes, as i used an hand haled camera with the tripod to give the shaking image effect.

While we set of knowing that we would shot in certain location in the city, we found ourselves discovering more interesting places around Coventry to shot the scenes. This is an old industrial factory that we thought would look great with the rest of the scenes (I personaly liked this place the best).

Filming Priya in zoom in, as she walks toward us from the other side. To create the walking in a busy crowd scene that many films and music video's use.

We filmed in onto after it got dark to give the video a realistic change in time as well as location.
it was a very tiring day,
but we worked well as a team, and Priya was very dedicated and patient.

Shooting Robbins scene

DAY 1

Came to school early in the morning to set the school theatre up with the props - check

then we set the lighting - check

Robbin arrived practiced the lyrics and lip syncing with the song - then we started shooting the scene three three times , each time we shot from different angles - Robbin was very patient because then we made him repeat the whole thing again and again. By the end of it Robbin has matured lip syncing but still needed to practice on his guitar playing. so we thought we needed another day to perfect the scene.

DAY 2

After the long day we had the day before trying to shoot Robbins theatre scene and from learning from the mistakes that we have done (as we look back on the footage that we'v taken- and spotted some mistakes)  we deiced that we needed to fix a couple of things

1- Robbin acting and movement routines

2- Robbins guitar playing

3- The set design, as when looking at what we filmed the day before we felt that the black background and lighting were really bland and unprofessional.

we therefore used a different type of  lighting to give a more studio glossy effect

We experimented with blue UV spot light.

We suddenly had an idea - to project moving abstract images to the white scene behind Robbin. We had some help from the drama department.

We ended up with this - its not to distracting from the main artist and its flow goses well with the song .

camera shot and angle (screen prints ideas from other MV)

A Fine Frenzy- 'Almost Lover'.

A close-up (animation on right) contains just one character's face. This enables viewers to understand the actor's emotions and also allows them to feel empathy for the character. This is also known as a personal shot.

 An extreme close-up (animation on right) contains one part of a character's face or other object. This technique is quite common in horror films, particularly the example above. This type of shot creates an intense mood and provides interaction between the audience and the viewer.

A mid shot (animation on right) contains the characters or a character from the waist up. From this shot, viewers can see the characters' faces more clearly as well as their interaction with other characters. This is also known as a social shot

A bird's eye angle (animation on right) is an angle that looks directly down upon a scene. This angle is often used as an establishing angle, along with an extreme long shot, to establish setting.
